IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) Police say a small plane has crashed at the Iowa City airport, leaving one man injured.
A Federal Aviation Administration investigator is en route to investigate the crash, which occurred on Thursday evening.

(AKRON) -- Kayla Smith threw a two-hitter to pitch state-rated Akron-Westfield past Gehlen 10-0 in five innings Monday night in Akron as both teams tuned up for the tournament openers later this week.

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) Four members of the Northern Iowa basketball team are spending their offseason recovering from injuries.
Panthers Coach Ben Jacobson says Kwadzo Ahelegbe, Jordan Eglseder, Carlton Reed and Lucas O'Rear are all recovering from injuries.
The most serious is Ahelegbe, a sophomore guard who missed last season with a labrum tear in his right shoulder.
