OrangeRind Film Festival returns

 

 

(ORANGE CITY)  The OrangeRind Film Festival is returning to Orange City during Tulip Festival this May. 

Vaughn Donahue, who studied the medium in college and has made some of his own films, is the producer of the show.  He says the festival is a great outlet for individuals showcase their talent.

Filmmakers of all ages and experience are encouraged to contribute their original short films.  Films can be sent in DVD format to the Orange City Arts Council. Please include the name and contact information of the director as well as cast and crew members and a synopsis of the film. Donahue explains criteria for entries.

The OrangeRind Film Festival started last year, but Donahue says it was pretty informal, with around six entries.  He hopes to grow the event this year.

Deadline for entry is May 13, but Donahue encourages that entries be submitted sooner than that, if possible.  The OrangeRind Film Festival itself takes place May 20th.  For more information contact the Orange City Arts Council at 712-707-4885 or OCarts@orangecityiowa.com.
