FVH Diabetes Fair is Monday, 11/7

(Le Mars) -- Diabetes affects 26 million people, which is 8% of the US population, this is according to Rosanne Osterbuhr, Diabetic Educator with Floyd Valley Hospital. Osterbuhr says this is why Floyd Valley Hospital is offering their Diabetes Fair again this year...to help with the prevention and treatment of diabetes. On Monday, November 7th, the evening begins with the opportunity to talk to vendors, Osterbuhr says there are several new vendors this year.

Two speakers will round out the evening with focus on how vessels are affected by diabetes. Osterbuhr tells us that Mindi Allen, ultrasound technician from Floyd Valley Hospital, will be talking about stroke screening.

Then, cardiologist Dr. Deb Majerus will host an "Ask the Cardiologist" session from 7:30-8:30.
The event is free of charge and a light meal will be served during the vendor display time. Door prizes will also be given away.  The Diabetes Fair at Floyd Valley Hospital is Monday, November 7th from 5 to 8:30pm.
