Branstad Calls For Competition In Education
(Sioux City) -- Governor Terry Branstad says more competition is needed with education, and in the long run, everyone benefits. Branstad was in Sioux City last evening addressing the supporters of the Sioux City Diocese Monsignor Lafferty Tuition Foundation, as well as acknowledging the Milton Friedman educational choice foundation.
Branstad is still pushing for his education reform bill, and he says the private and parochial schools are out performing their public school counterparts.
Branstad says Iowa has been complacent for too long with our educational standards, and he says it is past time to correct it.
