Maser Plaza Proposed

(Le Mars) -- A Le Mars couple is hoping to renovate the old First National Bank drive- through to become a visitor's information center.  Al and Delores Maser presented their idea to the Le Mars City Council on Tuesday.  Delores Maser says a lot of economic developement has occurred on the north end of downtown, which has benefitted the community.  But now she believes the south end deserves some attention.

Once the construction is completed, the Masers intend to give the property to the city.  Delores Maser says since the property sits next to the railroad, and since Le Mars was founded because of a railroad, she wants to have the project resemble a train depot.
