Kindergarten Students Talk About First Days At School
(Le Mars) -- Do you remember your first days of school? Were you scared, nervous, excited?
For Kindergarten students attending either the Le Mars Community or Gehlen Catholic, today
(Friday) marks their second day of school. KLEM news visited with four Gehlen Catholic
Kindergarten students to inquire about their first days experience in school. It may
surprise you as to how much a Kindergarten student already knows on the second day. Five
year old Emma was able to recite the complete alphabet.
Desirae, who also is five years old, and the talker of among the four students, displayed
her interest in the musical song that was taught to the students.
Alex says he prefers the lunches that are served at Gehlen Catholic school.
Five year old Aiden has already established a lofty goal for his year in Kindergarten.
None of the students said that they were nervous about attending the first day in
Kindergarten, but they were happy and excited. A first day highlight for the students was
listening to a story about Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Desirae offers an explanation for a
typical day for a Gehlen Catholic Kindergartener.
And what about school romances? Are there any occurring at the Gehlen Kindergarten level?
