Helen Dot Thompson, 88, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Brentwood Good Samaritan Village in Le Mars.  A Memorial Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars.  Bishop Thomas Aitken will officiate.  A private family graveside service has taken place at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church.  The Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars is assisting Helen's family with arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com
