Winter Weather Advisory: Rain Turning to Snow Tonight

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
1 PM CDT SUNDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SIOUX FALLS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
MIDNIGHT CENTRAL STANDARD TIME TONIGHT TO 1 PM  SUNDAY.

* TIMING...RAIN IS EXPECTED TO QUICKLY CHANGE TO SNOW LATE THIS
  EVENING...WITH MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY SNOWFALL POSSIBLE
  TONIGHT BEFORE DIMINISHING SUNDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 7 INCHES IS
  POSSIBLE.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...NORTH WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE THIS
  EVENING AND AVERAGE AROUND 20 TO 30 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS TONIGHT
  AND SUNDAY. THE STRONG WINDS COMBINED WITH SNOWFALL WILL CREATE
  AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO
  LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND
BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
