Contrasting Weather In May

(Le Mars) --  It was a mere two weeks ago when Le Mars experienced nearly three inches of snow that fell on the community on May 1, 2013.  Today, several records have been broken as the temperature reached the upper 90's and in some instances triple digit temperatures.  The high temperature as recorded at KLEM offices was 102 degrees.  The National Weather Service of Sioux Falls indicated there were a number of records broken today, including Le Mars.  The old record for this date was 95 degrees, set in 1941.  Today, according to the NWS, 101 degrees is the new record for Le Mars on May 14th.
