That's Arnold's Park board member Mike May talking about the Legend Roller Coaster at
Arnold's Park on Lake Okoboji.  The coaster has been recently updated for a much smoother ride.  The wooden coaster was built in 1927 and features a figure eight layout that wraps around amusement park. The Legend roller coaster starts with a six-story lift that sets the three-car train in motion to travel the 2,000-foot long track in just over one minute. The renovation, completed at the end of May, included 575 linear feet of new track and catwalk.
May says it's important to keep the coaster going for future generations.

Arnold's Park Marketing Coordinator Jill Harms says that people travel across the country

riding wooden roller coasters and that The Legend is often one of their stops.
