Fair Adds More Grandstand Seating
(Le Mars) -- The Best Five Days of Summer, also known as the Plymouth County Fair, is about a week away, and this year's fair attendees will notice more seating, that according to Fairboard president, Tony Schroeder. Fair goers will see the addition of several dozen picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds. Schroeder says in past years, the city of Le Mars was gracious to lend the fairboard picnic tables. However, this year, a 4-H club took on the project to raise money for the new picnic tables.
Another addition to the fairgrounds, says Schroeder, is the grandstand now features more
The fairboard president says the the fair will offer a variety of entertainment choices,
both at the grandstand, as well as at Pioneer Village. The traditional entertainment featured at the grandstand will continue again this year with the Motorcross on Wednesday evening, the Tuff Truck Contest on Thursday, Friday will showcase the tractor pull, including the mini-rod pull, and the bull riding contest scheduled for Sunday. Saturday evening is reserved for the popular demolition derby, which according to Schroeder will be bigger and better this year.
The entertainment line up at Pioneer Village will also feature some tried and true acts including The Browns, and a hypnotist. But Schroeder is excited about the country western band known as LoCash Cowboys.
The fair begins next Wednesday, July 24th and continues through Sunday, July 28th.
