Ellensohn Named Fair Queen
(Le Mars) -- Seventeen year old Leah Ellensohn of Le Mars was crowned as the new Plymouth County Fair Queen, on Wednesday evening. Ellensohn is the daughter of Eric and Nicki Ellensohn. The young teen was all smiles when last year's fair queen Annabelle Banks read her name to the interested crowd. Ellensohn will be accompanied by Derek Ten Naple as this year's King of the Plymouth County Fair. Ten Napel is the son of Dave and Amy Ten Napel of Le Mars. Ellensohn says she is looking forward to being the ambassador of the fair.
The seven year 4-H member representing the Grant Clever Clovers explains her various projects that she entered for this year's fair.
Ten Napel exhibits both swine and sheep at the Plymouth County Fair and he offers an explaination as to why he competed for the fair king contest.
