Electronic Recycling Scheduled For Friday

(Le Mars) -- The city of Le Mars will be collecting old electronic equipment on Friday, May 16th.  Bill Cole, assistant city administrator for Le Mars says residents can bring their electronic devices to the city hall back parking lot between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The city official says not only are residents able to dispose of old equipment, but Recycltronics, the organization that collects the items, comprises of disabled veterans from the Sioux City area.  Cole says although Recycltronics will accept most electronic devices, there are a few items they won't pick up.

Cole reminds residents the city wide amnesty program for disposing of waste products is scheduled for early June.

Cole says over the years Le Mars residents have responded well to the various recycled programs offered by the city.

The dates again for the recycled programs include Friday, May 16th as the electronic devices collection, June 2-7th is the week set aside for amensty disposal of waste, and June 3rd is reserved as the day old appliances can be discarded.
