Backpacks Offered to Kids Who Need Them
LE MARS – This Saturday, families in Le Mars will benefit from a national backpack giveaway campaign. The Cellular Connection will be donating 100,000 backpacks full of school supplies to children through its School Rocks Backpack Giveaway, 200 of those backpacks will be going to kids from Le Mars.
Sherri Bauman (middle), one of the store managers at the Cellular Connection in Le Mars, explains that her company believes in fostering a culture of good, and that’s why they’re giving away 200 backpacks on Saturday.
Not only are they giving away the backpacks, but also school supplies in them.
The Education Station gave: Crayons, erasers and regular glue to add to the notebook, folder, pencil box, pencils, stick of glue and a ruler that the The Cellular Connection was already providing.
I asked Sherri how she felt working for a company that takes on a project like this and she said it feels fantastic, then she got choked up. When she was able to continue sharing with me, she had this to say.
These thousands of backpack are being given away as part of The Cellular Connection’s “Culture of Good” movement. To learn more about it, log onto www.cultureofgood.com
