NATIONAL LEAGUE WILD CARD GAME: San Francisco 8, Pittsburgh 0

PITTSBURGH - Madison Bumgarner tossed a four-hitter with 10 strikeouts and Brandon Crawford hit a grand slam as the San Francisco Giants ripped Pittsburgh 8-0 to win the National League Wild Card Game. Crawford went deep in the fourth inning before Brandon Belt added two hits and three RBIs. Next up for the Giants are the Nationals, with the first two games of the NL division series to be played in Washington.

AMERICAN LEAGUE WILD CARD GAME: Kansas City 9, Oakland 8, 12 innings

KANSAS CITY -- Salvador Perez hit a walkoff single and the Royals scored twice in the bottom of the 12th to pull out a 9-8 win over the Oakland Athletics in the American League Wild Card game at Kansas City.  The Royals rallied from deficits of 7-3 and 8-7 before earning the right to face the Los Angeles Angels in the ALDS.  The A's were two outs away from victory until Eric Hosmer tripled and scored on an infield single by Christian Colon.
