Ronald H. Mayer

 

Ronald H. Mayer, 55 years old, of Remsen, IA died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at his home in Remsen after a short battle with cancer.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 15, 2010, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy & Deacon Rick Roder officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Remsen. Visitation will be anytime after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. There will be a parish rosary at 3 p.m., a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen. Mrs. Rena De Vries

Mrs. Rena De Vries, age 92, of Orange City, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at the Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

 

There will be a funeral service on Thursday, July 15, at 10:30am, at the First Reformed Church Chapel in Orange City. The Rev. Stanley Vandersall will officiate. Interment will follow at the West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. Visitation with the family present will be the hour before the service on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are with the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

 

   

Meta K. "Matie" Ruble

Meta K. "Matie" Ruble, 98, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9 at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral on Saturday. Helen Niehus, 80, of Le Mars passed away on Friday July 2, 2010 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, following a brief illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday July 6, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a Parish rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the funeral at the Church on Tuesday. Loretta (Kettler) O'Connell

Loretta (Kettler) O’Connell, 92, of Le Mars, formerly of Sioux City passed away Sunday June 13, 2010 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars, following a brief illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday July 2, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at the church on Friday, July 2. The Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements
