Walter  J.  Schoenherr, 92, of rural Merrill, Iowa passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Society in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars followed by a 7:00 p.m. Scriptural Wake Service with Monsignor Mark Duchaine officiating.  Private family graveside services will be Saturday, January 18, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, of Ellendale.

Lorna Whiting, 85, of Akron, Iowa passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at her daughter’s home in Sioux City, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron.  Pastor Steve Jewett from New Horizons United Church of Christ in Akron will officiate.  Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City.  Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 with the family present after 6:00 p.m., and a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron.

Dorothy J. Seaton, 77, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Rev. Timothy Geitz of Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Washington Reformed Cemetery in Ackley, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.  The family will be present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com.
