Esther M. Renken, 90,of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at Plymouth Manor in Le Mars, Iowa.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Le Mars, Iowa.  Reverend Greg Gabriel will officiate.  Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa.  Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 with the family present after 6:00 p.m., and a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com

Paul Hoppe, 85, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at his home in Le Mars. Leonard Molzen, 89, of rural Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Village in Le Mars.  Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2010 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church (Preston Township), rural Akron, Iowa.  Rev. Sarah Nye will officiate.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars.  The family will be present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled for 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral.
