Lucille Carey, 93, of Marcus, Iowa passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Heartland Care Center in Marcus, Iowa.   Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Marcus.  Burial will follow at Marcus – Amherst Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Earnest – Johnson Funeral Home in Marcus. The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral on Monday. Patricia Ann Staab, 72 years old, of Remsen, IA died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, IA.  Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Le Mars.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, IA. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument LLC in Remsen. Harold Jelken, 77, of Brunsville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Reverend Mike Schmidt of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Brunsville, Iowa will officiate.  Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010, with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Visitation will resume 1 hour prior the services on Friday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Gary W. Riordan, 60, of Pierson, died Sunday, Sept, 5, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at the Christian Church in Pierson. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in rural Correctionville. Visitation at the Rohde Funeral Home of Kingsley will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010 with the family present from 6-8 p-m and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., all at the funeral home.
