Tyler Shilling

Tyler Shilling, 37, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home in Omaha.  Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Private family inurnment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars with military rites conducted by the Wasmer American Legion Post 241 of Le Mars, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. The Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com

 

Fred Lammers

Fred Lammers, 80 of Akron, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his home in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City, Iowa.  Entombment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Sioux City with military rites conducted by the Hoschler American Legion Post 186 of Akron, Iowa. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, with the family present after 6:00 p.m., and a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa. Visitation will resume from 10:00 a.m. until Mass on Wednesday at the church.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com

   

Shirley Ainsworth

Shirley Ainsworth, 74, of Le Mars , Iowa passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City , Iowa. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation on Monday prior to the funeral service. Barry T. Saxen

Barry T. Saxen, 39, formerly of Pierson, Iowa, passed away on
Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at his home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Pierson, Iowa. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Pierson, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at the Johnson-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa, with the family present from
5 to 8:00 p.m. and a prayer service scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Monday morning at the United Methodist Church in Pierson, one hour prior to Barry's service.

Briggs Todd Allen

Briggs Todd Allen, infant son of Todd and Mindi (Roepke) Allen, was born 11:15 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2010 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars; he weighed 5 lbs 8 oz. and was 19" long.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Le Mars United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. There will be a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Thursday evening at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com
