Carol Jean Pick, 77, of Remsen, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars, IA, after fighting cancer for 3 ½ years.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Remsen with Rev. William McCarthy and Deacon Rick Roder officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Remsen.   Visitation will be anytime after 3 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Paula Cronin, 85, of Oyens, Iowa passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Oyens.  Reverend William McCarthy will celebrate Mass.  Reverend Timothy Hogan, Reverend Dale Rieff, and Reverend Lyle Johnson will concelebrate.  Burial will follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Oyens.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013 with a combined Catholic Daughters and Christian Mothers Rosary at 5:00 p.m., and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church.

Marie B. Schnepf, 93, of Remsen, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at her home near rural LeMars, IA.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Oyens, with Rev. Merton L. “Stub” Jessen, 90 of Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Merrill, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Brentwood Good Samaritan Village in Le Mars.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Le Mars.  Rev. Greg Gabriel will officiate.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill with military honors provided by Oleson - Halweg American Legion Post #125 of Merrill.  Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral service on Saturday.    Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com.
