Ardis M. Karlson, 86, of Kingsley passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Kingsley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Johnson-Earnest Funeral Home of Kingsley, Iowa. Rev. Bob Blair will officiate. Burial will follow at Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Johnson - Earnest Funeral Home. Russell L. Grubb, 98, of Kingsley, Iowa passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Alegent Health-Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Kingsley, Iowa. Rev. Bob Blair will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at the Johnson – Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. to greet friends. Vitalena “Vitty” Marie (Thommes) Penning, 85 years old, of Granville, IA, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Sanford Medical Center in Sheldon, IA.  Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville with Rev. Richard Ball officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Granville. Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m., and vigil prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Granville.
