Dorothy E. Swanberg, 83, of Kingsley, Iowa, died peacefully, Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Kingsley Nursing & Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am Thursday, January 27, at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Kingsley, with Rev. Robert Blair officiating. Burial will be at Kingsley Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00pm with the family present and a prayer service at 7;00pm all at the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.  Rohde Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.

Patricia  Plueger, 62, of rural Le Mars passed away suddenly Monday, January 24, 2011 at her home.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa with Reverend Sarah Nye of Plymouth Ministries officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Visitations with the family present will be after 3:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in LeMars with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.  Visitation will continue Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Emmett J. Ahlers of Granville, 75, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville.  Burial will be in the parish cemetary.  Visitation will be after 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 23.  A parish rosary will be at 5:00 pm, a vigil prayer service at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville.  Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen is in charge of arrangements.

Marcella Beckmann, 92, of Le Mars passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Happy Siesta Nursing Home in Remsen, Iowa. Graveside Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa. Reverend Tim Geitz of Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars, Iowa will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011, with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.
