Kent Schwiesow, 64, of Le Mars passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ with Reverend Jan Christensen officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Wasmer American Legion Post #241 of Le Mars will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2011at the church. The afternoon will conclude with a 4:00 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitations will continue Monday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Memorials maybe directed to Hospice of Siouxland. Jim McDermott, 71, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Dr. Fran Pettigrew of First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove will officiate. Visitation with family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2011 at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Lillian June, 92, of Merrill passed away on Monday February 7, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, following a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday February 10, 2011 at the Rock Solid Assembly, (126 3rd Street S.W.), with Pastor Dan Krause officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Merrill. Visitations will begin at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning at the Church for one hour prior to the funeral. Kevin Gene Oltmanns "Shade Tree, " 46, of Windom, Minnesota, formerly of Craig and Sioux City, died Sunday, February 6, 2011, at the Windom Area Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10 a.m. St. John's Lutheran Church in Craig. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the LaCanne Family Funeral Home in Windom, Minnesota from 4-8 p.m. There will also be visitation Thursday, February 10, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Craig from 3-8 p-m with a prayer service at 7 p-m. Visitation will continue at the church for one hour prior to the 10 a.m.service Friday morning. Memorials are preferred by the family.
