Merle Lucken, 97, of Akron, Iowa passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Akron Care Center in Akron, Iowa.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, E.L.C.A. in Akron, Iowa.  Pastor Dawn Quame will officiate.  Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Akron, Iowa.  Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010, with the family present after 5:00 p.m., and a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at the church.  The Carlsen Funeral Home – Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com

Don Boetger, 88, of Le Mars passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Dale E. Koskovich, 96, of Kingsley, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at the Correctionville Nursing and Rehab Center in Correctionville, Iowa. Donald J. Jahn, 85, of Pierson, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Pierson United Methodist Church in Pierson with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Pierson, Iowa.
