Meta K. "Matie" Ruble, 98, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9 at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral on Saturday. Helen Niehus, 80, of Le Mars passed away on Friday July 2, 2010 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, following a brief illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday July 6, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will be in Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation will be after 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a Parish rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the funeral at the Church on Tuesday. Loretta (Kettler) O’Connell, 92, of Le Mars, formerly of Sioux City passed away Sunday June 13, 2010 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars, following a brief illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday July 2, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until service time at the church on Friday, July 2. The Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements

Frank Marienau, 76,of Merrill, Iowa passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010, at his home in Merrill.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Merrill United Methodist Church.  Interment with military honors provided by the Olson-Halweg American Legion Post #125 of Merrill will be at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill. Visitation with family present will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday June 30, 2010 followed by a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Visitation will continue Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through Carlsen Funeral Home.
