Eileen Vander Stoep, 98, of Le Mars passed away quietly at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars on Tuesday June 15, 2010, with family at her side. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday June 18, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church, Le Mars. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will be on Thursday at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with family present from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Feuerstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Keith E. Benton, 81 of Marcus, Iowa, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010, at the Heartland Care Center in Marcus.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Grace United Methodist Church in Marcus.  Rev. Eleanor Harvey, 91, of Akron, Iowa passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Akron Care Center in Akron, Iowa.  Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday, June 15, 2010 at  Union Creek Lutheran Church, rural Akron, Iowa.  Reverend Carla Nelson will officiate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be after 4 pm Sunday, June 14, 2010, with family present after 6 pm.  A prayer service will be at 7 pm, all at Carlsen Funeral Home - Schroeder Chapel in Akron, Iowa.   Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Pastor Donald L. Deines, 65, of Austin, Minnesota, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Northfield, MN. Pastor Don's first parish was St. John's American Lutheran Church in Le Mars where he served as youth pastor from 1971-1975. Funeral services for Don Deines  are Friday, June 11, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at our Savior's Lutheran Church in Austin, Minnesota.  He retired from Our Savior's after serving as senior pastor for 16 years. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City, IA. Visitation will be at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is Thursday, June 10th from 4 to 8 PM and at the church on Friday for one hour before the service.  The Clasen Jordan Funeral Home in Austin, MN is in charge of arrangements for Pastor Donald Deines, formerly a youth pastor at St. John's in Le Mars. www.clasenjordan.com
