Lorna "June" Doud, 80,  of Le Mars died Thursday, May 27, 2010, surrounded by family at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City following a brief illness. The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars will be after 3 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010 where there will be a Catholic Daughters of America and Christian Mothers Society rosary at 4 p.m. and a Vigil Prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the church. The Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars is in charge of arrangements.

Jan Fara, 70, of Akron, Iowa passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home near Akron.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday, May 28, 2010 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron.  Monsignor Richard Zenk will celebrate.  Visitation will be after 4:30 pm Thursday, May 27, 2010, with the family present after 6:00 pm.  There will be a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:00 pm followed by a Parish Rosary, all at Carlsen Funeral Home - Schroeder Chapel in Akron.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Margaret S. Ioos, 97, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars.  Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26 at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. to greet friends. Eunice Xaveris Schmid, 91, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 23, 2010, at the Kingsley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010, at the First Lutheran Church in Kingsley. Interment will be in the Kingsley City Cemetery.
