Raymond Saxen, age 82, of Pierson, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center of Sioux City.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1:30 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville with the Rev. Tim Jones and Clif Cockburn officiating.  Burial will be at the Sunset View Cemetery of Washta with military rites conducted by the American Legion Harrison F. Pedersen Post # 291 of Pierson.  A visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville.  The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville is in charge of arrangements.

Linda  M.  Bartling, 62, of Tyndall, South Dakota passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the George Mickelson Human Services Center in Yankton, South Dakota.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars with Monsignor Mark Duchaine of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellendale, rural Merrill, Iowa officiating.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars, Iowa.  Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time.  Expressions of sympathy can extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com

Ted Snyder, 73 of Remsen, IA died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family at his home near Remsen, IA.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Remsen, with Pastor Pete Petersen officiating.  Burial will be in the Remsen Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m., with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.  There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.  Visitation will resume Wednesday from 9a.m. until service time at the church.  There will also be a celebration of life service On Sat. Richard “Dick” Lang, 72, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa.  Reverend Ben Worley will officiate.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, with a Prayer service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Visitation will resume 1 hour prior the services on Friday at the church.  Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.
