Margaret S. Ioos, 97, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars.  Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26 at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. The family will be present from 6-8 p.m. to greet friends. Eunice Xaveris Schmid, 91, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away Sunday afternoon, May 23, 2010, at the Kingsley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010, at the First Lutheran Church in Kingsley. Interment will be in the Kingsley City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Johnson-Earnest Funeral Home in Kingsley, with the family present from 5 to 8:00 and a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Friday at the First Lutheran Church, one hour prior to the service. Thoughts, stories and expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family on the www.mauerjohnsonfh.com website.

Krista C. Phelps, 16, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Sunday afternoon, May 23, 2010, at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, due to complications of anorexia. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kingsley. Visitation will be held at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Kingsley, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 until 8:00. A Scriptural Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.  The visitation will continue at the church, one hour prior to Krista’s service on Thursday. Loretta Kennedy, 85, of Le Mars died on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars following a brief illness.  A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 26, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will be anytime after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars, where there will be a combined rosary by the Catholic Daughters of America and the Christian Mothers Society at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. The Feuerstein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
