Cheri (Nemmers) Jolin

Cheri (Nemmers) Jolin, 60, of Parker, Colorado, formally of Le Mars passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Parker, Colorado.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at All Saints Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Kevin Richter officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.  Arrangements are with the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home of Le Mars.

Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through Carlsen Funeral Home.

   

Donald E. Hurlbut

Donald E. Hurlbut, 77, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Unity Point/St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.  Rev. Chris Meier of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Le Mars will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.  Military honors will be conducted by Wasmer Post #241 of the American Legion.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com

   

Paul Langel

Paul Langel, 57, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his home near Le Mars following a courageous battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at All Saints Parish – St. Joseph Church in Le Mars.  Reverend Kevin Richter will celebrate Mass with other Priests in the Sioux City Catholic Diocese concelebrating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m., with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 5:00 p.m., and a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at the church. Visitation will resume from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.  Arrangements are with the Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family prefers memorials to the Paul Langel Memorial Fund.

Bette Waite, 87, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.

Nancy Rolfes, age 75, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her residence in Le Mars.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at All Saints Parrish - Saint James Church in Le Mars. A public visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 and will continue until the start of the service at the church. Magdalen “Myrt” Weiler, 93 years old, of LeMars, IA entered eternal rest Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society in LeMars, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Oyens with Rev. William McCarthy officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Catherine Catholic Cemetery in Oyens.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015.  There will be a parish rosary at 5 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7 p.m. at Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Karen  Klemme, 74, of Le Mars passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Larry A. Saxen, 59, of Le Mars passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 following a motor vehicle accident in Omaha, Nebraska.  Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Pastor Michael Hulinsky will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset View Cemetery, rural Washta, Iowa.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home.  The family will be present from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Friday prior to the funeral service.  The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars is assisting Larry’s family with funeral arrangements.   Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com

Dale A. Leekley, 85, of Kingsley, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2015 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kingsley, Iowa. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday, 5-7 p.m. with a Wake-Scripture service at 7:00 p.m. all at the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Rohde Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.

   

Marvin William Nitzschke

Marvin William Nitzschke, 87 years old, Remsen, IA was called home to be with his Lord Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 surrounded by his family, at Heartland Care Center in Marcus.

Funeral Service will be Monday, Aug. 31, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church LCMS in Remsen, with Pastor Dennis Martens officiating.  Burial will be in the Remsen Community Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation with family present will be anytime after 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015.  There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. all at Christ Lutheran Church LCMS in Remsen. Thomas  W.  Palmer, 71, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Gerald E. Kale, age 76, of Merrill, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - Ellendale, rural Merrill, Iowa.  Monsignor Mark Duchaine will celebrate Mass. Burial will be at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Merrill with military honors provided by the Oleson-Halweg Post 125 of Merrill. Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 30, 2015 with a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m., all at Carlsen-Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.
