Betty M. Streff, 55 years old, of Alton, IA, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, At Orange City Area Health Systems Hospital in Orange City, IA. 
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton with Rev. Terry Roder officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Alton.  Visitation will be anytime after 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.  The family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m. with a vigil prayer service at 6 p.m., all at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.  Services have been entrusted to Fisch Funeral Home & Monument in Remsen.  Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Raymond  F.  Lubben, 84, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars surrounded by his family.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural Le Mars, Iowa with Reverend Ben Worley officiating.  Interment with military honors provided by the Heeren-McHale-Wilken American Legion Post #724 of Brunsville will at the Church cemetery.  Visitation with the family present will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Carlsen Funeral Home followed by a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service Friday evening at the funeral home.  Visitation will continue Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until service time.  Expression of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.

Virtus M. Hargens, 90, of Le Mars, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.  Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the United Methodist Church of Le Mars.  Reverend John Battern will officiate.  Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by Wasmer Post #241 of the American Legion.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars.  The family will be present from 2-4 p.m. with a prayer service scheduled at 4:00 p.m.  There will be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral on Monday.   Expressions of sympathy may be directed through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com.

Merlyn Cronin, age 89 of Marcus, IA, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, at the Heartland Care Center in Marcus. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 1, 2013, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Marcus. Visitation will be AT THE CHURCH, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
