UNDATED (AP) - The Houston Astros have expanded their lead in the AL West to 5  1/2 games over Texas while allowing Toronto to move two games ahead of the second-place Yankees in the AL East. Evan Gattis belted a pair of homers and Collin McHugh carried a shutout into the seventh inning of the Astros' 6-2 win over the Yanks. Edwin Encarnacion extended his hitting streak to 21 games with a grand slam that highlighted the Jays' six-run sixth.

UNDATED (AP) - Kansas City's lead in the AL Central is down to 12 games over Minnesota after Manny Machado, Jonathan Schoop (skohp) and Chris Davis hit two-run shots off Johnny Cueto in Baltimore's 8-5 victory over the Royals. The Orioles ended a six-game winning streak to pull within two games of Texas and Minnesota for the final wild-card berth. The Twins caught up to the Rangers as Eduardo Escobar slammed a pair of solo homers in Minnesota's sixth consecutive victory, 5-3 at Tampa Bay.

UNDATED (AP) - The Los Angeles Dodgers beat Cincinnati 7-4 to keep their 2  1/2-game lead over San Francisco in the NL West. Scott Van Slyke, A.J. Ellis and Yasiel Puig homered during the Dodgers' five-run fourth. The Giants and Cubs were tied 2-2 until Buster Posey and Kelby Tomlinson hit RBI doubles in the sixth inning of San Francisco's 4-2 triumph over Chicago.

UNDATED (AP) - The Cardinals' lead in the NL Central remains 4  1/2 games over Pittsburgh after both teams won on Wednesday. John Lackey worked seven innings and Koltn Wong doubled home the tiebreaking run as St. Louis downed Arizona 3-1.  Pittsburgh was a 7-2 winner at Miami behind Andrew McCutchen's three-run homer and four RBIs.

UNDATED (AP) - The New York Mets lead the NL East by 6  1/2 games over Washington following their sixth consecutive victory. Michael Cuddyer hit a two-run homer and had three RBIs to back Bartolo Colon's seven shutout innings in the Mets' 9-4 rout of Philadelphia. Justin Upton homered twice and had three RBIs as San Diego nipped the Nationals 6-5 in Washington.
