MONDAY RESULTS - May 2
(G) Le Mars finished first and Gehlen Catholic was third in the Le Mars JV Invitational. Le Mars got first place finishes from Andrea Urban in the shot put, Andrea Kelly in the 3000-meter run, Hannah Steen in the 400, Morgan Ohm in the 100-meter hurdles and the Lady Bulldogs won the 4X800 relay, the Shuttle Hurdle relay and the Sprint Medley. Gehlen got a first place finishes from Mariah McCarty in the High Jump and Leah Ellensohn in the 800. Boys results were not available.

GIRLS RESULTS: Gehlen finished third behind Hinton and Remsen St. Mary's. The Lady Jays won the Shuttle Hurdle relay in a time of 1:10.48 with Kaitlin Roberts, Emily Holtgrewe, Katelin Langel and Nicole Ryan ... Steph Rohe won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of :16.05 ... Molly Wankum won the 1500-meter run in 5:34.52 and the Sprint Medley relay was first in a time of 2:00.64 with Emily Holtgrewe, Katelin Langel, Steph Rohe and Nicole Ryan.
BOYS RESULTS: Gehlen finished second behind Hinton and just ahead of Akron-Westfield. Gehjeln's Jordan Langel won the 100-meter dash in a time of :11.95 ... Michael Whitehead won the Long Jump in a jump of 19'11 1/2" and Devin Groenhagen won the Shot Put in a toss of 47' 7 3/4".
(B) Le Mars 8 Spencer 1 (BULLDOG RESULTS: In singles, Mike Ahlers won 6-0, 6-0, Kent Hasselquist won 7-6(7-5), 1-6, 10-3, Eric Havey won 6-4, 7-5, Keegan Driggs won 6-0, 6-0, Colin Brooks won 6-4, 6-0 and Aaron Ruden won 4-6, 6-4, 10-5. TUESDAY RESULTS - May 3
(G) Le Mars finished second behind Spencer in the Tornadoe Relays at Storm Lake. Taking first place for Le Mars, Emily Anderson in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of :17.28 ... Meredith Rand in the 1500-meter run in 5:22.49 ... the Sprint Medley relay in 1:57.83 with Lindsey Wichers, Ebony Stone, Kirstie Ruhland and Jenna Prieksat ... the 4X800 relay in 10:39.2 with Meredith Rand, Yashila Permeswaren, Hannah Steen and Nikki Sluiter ... and the Shuttle Hurdle relay in 1:12.35 with Emily Anderson, Megan Schwartz, Morgan Ohm and Kirstie Ruhland.
(B) Le Mars finished third behind Spirit Lake and Kuemper Catholic in the Tornadoe Relays in Storm Lake. Paxton Strub paced the Bulldog first place finishes with a victory in the High Jump at 6' and 110 High Hurdles in a time of :15.74. Strub also anchored the Shuttle Hurdle relay to a first place finish in a time of 1:01.86. Chris Hatting, Chris Eckstaine and Hunter Rohde also ran on the Shuttle. And the Bulldogs 4X800 relay team of Joe Herzberg, Brennan Buss, Rodrigo Cobian and Kyle Borchers took first in a time of 8:26.86.
(G) Gehlen Catholic finished third behind Hinton and Unity Christian in the War Eagle Conference meet at Marcus. Gehlen's Shuttle Hurdle relay team of Steph Rohe, Katelin Langel, Kaitlin Roberts and Nicole Ryan took first in a time of 1:08.99 and Steph Rohe won the 100-meter hurdles in a time of :16.32. The Lady Jays had five second place finishes.
(B) Gehlen Catholic finished fourth behind Unity Christian, South O'Brien and Hinton in the War Eagle Conference meet at Marcus. Devin Groenhagen won the shot for Gehlen at 45'11 1/2" and Jordan Langel won the 110 High Hurdles in :16.79.
(B) Le Mars 8 Spirit Lake 1 (BULLDOG RESULTS: In singles, Mike Ahlers won 6-1, 6-4, Kent Hasselquist won 6-4, 6-4, Keggan Driggs won 6-2, 6-0, Eric Havey won 6-4, 5-7, 10-6, Colin Brooks won 6-2, 4-6, 10-4, and Aaron Ruden won 6-7 (7-5), 6-3, 10-5. In doubles, Ahlers/Hasselquist won 10-2, Driggs/Havey won 10-3 and Brooks/Ruden forfeited due to injury.)

WEDNESDAY RESULTS - May 4
(G) Le Mars finished second behind Spirit Lake in the Lakes Conference meet (makeup from April 30th). Le Mars' Erica Westhoff was the conference champion at #2 singles, going unbeaten on the day. The doubles teams of Catie Meis and Stephanie Young and the #2 team of Sophie Arens and Hannah Lang both finished third.
At the conclusion of the Lakes Conference Tournament, Le Mars finished their suspended dual with Cherokee from April 25th and won the match 5-3. Stephanie Young rallied to win her singles match 10-7 ... Hannah Lang lost 8-10, and Sophie Arens lost 8-10. The first three singles matches had been finished back on April 25th. In doubles, Stephanie Young and Catie Meis won 8-2 at number two doubles and Sophie Arens and Hannah Lang lost 8-5 at number three. The number one doubles were not played since Le Mars had already clinched the victory.
THURSDAY RESULTS - May 5
(B) Le Mars won the team title at the Spencer Relays with 142 points. Spencer was second with 93. (BULLDOG RESULTS: Paxton Strub won the high jump at 6'2" and the 110 High Hurdles in :15.12 ... Hunter Rohde won the Long Jump at 19'11" with freshman Levi TeBrink finishing second at 19'10" ... Kyle Borchers won the 800 in a time of 2:03.95 ... the 4X100 relay was first in :45.35 with Zach Reed, Hunter Rohde, Bryce Dahm and Brady Lancaster.)
(G) Le Mars won the Lady E-Hawk Relays at Emmetsburg, bettering Western Christian 136-132 in the Class A team race. (LADY BULLDOG RESULTS: Katelyn Ewing won the shot put at 35'6" ... Ebony Stone won the Long Jump at 15'1 1/2" ... and Meredith Rand won the 1500 in a time of 5:24.82.)
(B) Le Mars 7 Storm Lake 2 (LE MARS RESULTS: In singles play, Mike Ahlers won 76 (7-4), 6-4, Kent Hasselquist lost 4-6. 6-4. 6-10, Eric Havey won 6-1, 6-2, Keegan Driggs won 6-0, 6-2, Colin Brooks won 6-1, 6-3, and Aaron Ruden won 6-2, 7-5. In doubles play, Ahlers/Hasselquist lost 3-6, 2-6, Havey/Driggs won 6-0, 5-7, 10-8, and Brooks/Ruden won 7-5, 6-2.)
The Bulldogs also finished a suspended match with Storm Lake from April 18th and won that match 7-2 for a double win over Storm Lake.

GIRLS RESULTS: Gehlen finished second behind Ridge View. The Lady Jays got a first place finish from Alli Sitzmann in the 1500-meter run in 5:28.50 ... Molly Wankum in the 3000-meter run in 12:31.25 ... Mariah McCarty in the High Jump at 4'6" ... and the Shuttle Hurdle was first in 1:09.36 with Steph Rohe, Emily Holtgrewe, Katelin Langel and Nicole Ryan. Gehlen also added second place finishes in both distance races with Christa Meinert in the 3000 and Wankum in the 1500 ... Steph Rohe in the 100-meter hurdles and the Distance Medley, the 4X800 and 4X400 Relays finished second.

(B) Le Mars Invitational (M-O-C/Floyd Valley won the team title by one stroke over Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto, 319-320. Le Mars finished third with a 328. Gehlen finished ninth out of 12-team field. Kingsley-Pierson was tenth and the Le Mars JV was 12th. Medalist honors went to Cherokee's Jake Spindler, who won a three-hole playoff from Ryan Salsberger of Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto after both finished with 74's. Ryan Christy of MOC/FV shot a 75. For Le Mars, Parker Rolfes shot a 79, good for 8th place, Voleton Brown had an 80, Mason Prieksat an 84, Michael Brandenburg an 85, Michael Sauer an 87, and Eric Cline a 90. For Gehlen, Dyaln Kneip shot an 83, Johnny Ruden and Chad Langel had 90's, Derek Bretey had a 92, Ross Ruhland shot a 97 and Austin Juhl had a 100. For Kingsley-Pierson, Colin Henrich had an 85, Brandon Bainbridge an 88, Austin Rollefson a 92, Robby Mercer a 94 and Levi Mahrt a 113. Chris Palmquist led the Le Mars JV with a 90.)
