After the picnic, Bishop Nickless will begin with a prayer and reflection to
celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  Bishop Nickless
will then recognize Elementary Physical Education and Computer teacher, Mr.

in Education Award.

Afterwards, Bishop Nickless will call upon the Gehlen Catholic and the
LeMars community to support the "In Grace and Gratitude" Campaign.

Gehlen Catholic President, Rev. Kevin Richter, said the "In Grace and
Gratitude" Campaign will address faculty/staff recruitment and retention,
along with maintaining the school's current facilities, as part of the
diocesan and school's long-range strategic plan.

(LeMars) -- A reminder that tomorrow is school board election day.  Plymouth county voters will have the opportunity to not only vote for their elected officials representing their particular school district, but they will also decide on a levy for Western Iowa Tech.  LeMars residents will also decide on the Instructional Support Levy. LeMars voters will vote at the LeMars Convention Center.  KLEM will have the results tomorrow evening after the polls have closed.  Plus we will have our last two candidates profile during the 10, 12:30 and 5:00 news casts.

(Sioux City) -- Sioux City council members will be asked to approve and accept a $395,000 grant agreement with the FAA to update the airport master plan.  Sioux City Airport Fleet Director, Curt Miller, says the grant would pay for the airfield GPS Tags, concreter and utilities.

However, those are the least of his worries.  He says legislation in Washington D.C. could hurt the Sioux Gateway airport by not classifying it as an essential air serice.   With an October 1st deadline in the bill , Sioux City would not have enough time to request to be included in the program, which could allow Delta to discontinue service.
