New Season at the Akron Opera House
(AKRON) -- The Historic Akron Opera House kicks off their season this weekend with "BS from the Bonfire." Theater president Doug Olson says that if you like country music, you're not going to want to miss this show that features 4 musicians having fun on stage and playing some recognizable songs.
Craig Winquist, a former teacher from Alcester South Dakota, is one of the musicians that will be performing.
This kick-off show for the Akron Opera House is the first of six shows for the 2011-2012 season. Next is the local talent show "We've Got Talent," followed by the Browns Christmas show in December. January features the comedy "Leaving Iowa," the March musical is "Lucky Stiff," and Olson says the last show of the season will leave your toes tappin'.
Season tickets for the Akron Opera House are different this year. You get six tickets that you can use for each individual show, all for one show, or any combination that gets you to six. The season kicks off tonight with the 7:30 performance of "BS from the Bonfire." The show will take stage again tomorrow at 2.
